Hello Playmates, Zadie here!
Not been blogging for a while, 'cause we have been so busy with the move to our new shop.  Don't worry though, we are still downstairs at The Needlemakers, we have just moved to a bigger unit.
Check out the recent photos on the Gallery page.  Here's one of me helping a customer!
Bye for now, love Zadie Lady xxx

Fashion Show

The fashion show at The Needlemakers on Thursday 3rd December went really well; it was held in The Cafe - thank you Sara and Roman.

The models were fabulous -  mostly Terry's friends from the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne - as the audience were treated to a display of Vintage Style!  Terry was the host and projected her voice very well as there was no microphone.

Each of the models represented a particular era, starting with Alison who was a beautiful 1930s lady and also a very lovely 1970s model later on.  She was followed by Kerry who looked as if she had just stepped out of the 1940s.  Kathryn looked very Audrey Hepburn, representing the 1950s.

Richard and Robbie did splendidly, both looked very elegant - Robbie dressed up as a 1920s postman, complete with authentic sack!  Corinne represented the 'lady of today' and did a wonderful job modelling contemporary style.

Sue was very kind and with Ana, helped behind the scenes.  At the end of the show, I ran on to the floor and everyone cheered - nobody asked me to model though - never mind!

Come and see me if you can in the shop for a warm cuddle and if you are up for it, a Zadie kiss xxx

The new sign

Can you see me in this photo with Terry?

Now I know I look all cuddly, loving and maybe a bit sloppy, but remember this: I have to pay the rent!  Anyway, she is really very kind in her way, not a bad sort really.  I get lots of cuddles and smelly tripe for tea - just what I like.

You can see the shop behind us, it looks pretty doesn't it?  Like the sign?  Linda Moores painted this by hand, she's a friend of Terry's from Charleston Farmhouse.

The front of the shop gives you a little taste of what is inside - so much to see, lots to buy and me of course - I never turn a cuddle down.  We are in the basement of the Needlemakers - do come and visit xxx

Welcome

"All right, Mr DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up!"

I am Zadie and I shall try to keep you up-to-date with the goings on at Violet Creams.  Yes, I am a bit of a prima dona, but completely gorgeous with it.

By the way, do I remind you of someone?  Well let me give you a hint, she was the muse to Derek Jarman and has made it big in Hollywood in a number of films, yes, you've guessed it... Tilda Swinton!  Can you see the resemblance?  More from me soon... who would like my autograph? xxx
